A Note from our President


Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Spring is proving to be a busy time at Cooper Aerial. We have recently attended a number of conferences which always provide a great opportunity to see old friends and make new contacts. We have also been working on some exciting additions to the Cooper Aerial website. I hope you enjoy our newsletter and as always, keep your questions and comments coming.

I’m also proud to announce the winners of our iPod touch contest. Congratulations to Doug Schneider, RLS, Rick Engineering, Peter Borbas, Borbas Surveying and Mapping, and Jim Flack, J-CO Land Surveyors. I want to personally thank all that participated and look forward to our next contest!

We are proud to announce a new member to the Cooper family. Joshua Michael was born to Phil and Candace Gershkovich on April 9 at 11:32 pm at the Pennsylvania Hospital. At 5 pounds 5 ounces Joshua has been keeping his proud parents very busy.

We have been serving engineering firms, hydrologists, and departments of transportation, as well as federal, state and local governments at Cooper Aerial for many years. We developed a webpage specifically devoted to our civil service offerings in order to better meet the needs of our clients and to help them understand the full extent of our service offerings.

Cooper has been serving and working with the mining industry since we opened our doors in 1966. Recent Activities

APLS / NALS Joint 2009 Conference

Tim Burrows and Chris Seck attended the APLS Conference in Las Vegas, NV March 15th through the 18th. The APLS is an affiliate of the National Society of Professional Surveyors with more than 800 members throughout the state of Arizona. Thank you to those of you who visited the Cooper Aerial booth!

Tim Burrows has recently been promoted as our Southwest Account Manager and is representing parts of Arizona, New Mexico, and Southwest Texas. Tim can be contacted at (520) 709-1759 and his email address is timb@cooperaerial.com. Congratulations Tim!

NMPS 2009 Conference

Tim Burrows and David Major attended the NMPS conference in Albuquerque, NM, March 13th and 14th. The theme for the conference was “Surveying is Fun – Polishing our Professional Image.” Tim and David were happy to have the opportunity to visit with colleagues and meet new people.


ACEC Arizona Roads and Streets 2009 Conference

The conference was held at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, AZ, April 8th through the 10th. Jeff Cooper, Chris Seck, Emily Awbrey, Jeff Ohm, David Major and Tim Burrows were all in attendance.

We were proud to co-host our 3rd annual party with Ritoch-Powell, Shephard Westnizer, and Core Engineering on April 9th. We hope all who attended enjoyed our “Bailout Party” and the “Stimulus Packages.” We want to thank everyone who attended our booth and party. We enjoyed visiting with each and every one of you.
