| A Note from our President

Dear Friend and Colleagues-
October has been a big month at Cooper Aerial! Not only are we celebrating our 45th anniversary, we opened the doors of our new California office and launched a new and improved website.
As we head into the holiday season, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support and interest in Cooper Aerial. The season is always a time for me to reflect on what truly matters in my life and it is with great sincerity that I wish all of you a healthy and fruitful holiday season. I also hope that all of you are enjoying a healthy and successful 2011 as this year quickly comes to a close.
In this month’s newsletter, we will explore each of these developments and welcome the latest members of the Cooper Aerial family. I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the life and times of Cooper and, as always, keep those questions and comments coming!

| Fun Fact
The history of the contour line: China’s first emperor Qin Shi Huang commissioned the engineer Shi Lu to build a new waterway canal. The canal would pass through a mountain range and link together the Xiang River and Lijiang River. Complete with thirty-six lock gates, the Lingqu Canal enabled the emperor to send supplies to his armies in the south. Because it closely follows the contours of the natural saddle in the hills, it is considered the oldest known contour canal in the world. |
