Our Tucson office was recently featured on KOLD Channel 13 News in their “To the Monsoon: History and Beyond” series. Meant to educate viewers about the risks associated with the Arizona monsoon season; Meteorologist Erin Jordan interviewed our own David Major. The segment focuses on how we leverage 3D imagery and mapping technologies to identify flood risk, information which is used to save lives. Check out the entire segment.

AZ APWA ConferenceWe will be hosting a booth at the 2011 APWA Conference scheduled for August 8th and 9th at the Phoenix Convention Center. One of our favorite annual events, we are all looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and making new contacts. Please be sure and visit our booth if you are in attendance!
APWA Golf TournamentWe were happy to participate in this year’s APWA Golf Tournament. The great event raises money for PYP Mentoring Program and the APWA College Scholarship and Education Outreach of Arizona. The tournament was held at Stonecreek Golf Course in Paradise Valley on Friday, June 24. We had a great representation with Jeff Cooper, Jeff Ohm, Steve Costin, Zachary Radel and Emily Awbrey all heading out to show our support. Thank you to everyone who made this fun and worthwhile event possible!
A Special Thanks to Emily Awbrey! It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Emily Awbrey. Though we plan to continue to work with Emily in collaboration with Todd Photo, she will no longer be a part of daily business operations at Cooper Aerial. Emily has been part of the Cooper family since April of 2006. In her time with us she served as a Project Manager, working with many of you on a regular basis and representing Cooper Aerial at conferences throughout the Southwest. Though we are sad to see her go we are excited to know that she is following her passion. Running her own personal training business, and working in businesses development at Todd Photo; Emily will remain active in the mapping industry while branching out into the field of health and fitness.

“It’s been a pleasure working with everyone at Cooper Aerial and all of my clients over the last 5 years. I’ve met some fantastic people and look forward to continuing these professional relationships throughout my career,” said Emily.

We look forward to working with Emily for years to come as she assists the folks at Todd Photo. Together Todd and Cooper Aerial will be making our 2011 wide-area coverage imagery, of Pinal and Maricopa counties, available for purchase. We have enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Todd Photo over the years, a partnership which Emily’s move will only make stronger.

On behalf of everyone at Cooper Aerial, we would like to thank Emily for her years of service and we wish her all of the success in the world as she pursues her passions.

APLS Conference

We recently hosted a booth for the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Conference back in May. This is always a terrific conference with many informational topics and speakers. Chris Seck, Tim Burrows and Emily Awbrey were all in attendance. Thank you to those who stopped by the Cooper Aerial Booth!
