High Resolution Aerial Photography of the Destruction of Katrina

Oct 10, 2005

Most recently, our flight crew has taken a photographic journey to capture imagery of the devastated areas left by Hurricane Katrina/Rita. Our focus was the downtown area of New Orleans where the levee broke and suffered mass destruction and flooding, along with Slidell and Gulf Port, Mississippi, where obliteration was apparent. The immense amounts of photographs have an extremely high resolution which allows the maps to show details the size of a tennis ball, which only adds to the grotesque realness of Mother Nature.
