Cooper Aerial Surveys scans its 6000 thousandth image

Cooper Aerial Surveys scans its 6000 thousandth image this month with the new Leica DSW700 photogrammetric film scanner.

It’s remarkable that the DSW 700 has produced the capacity we require and the demand in less than four months with great ease. The scanner was deployed in operation late October with multiple computer servers with over 30 terabyte of on-line storage.

We are very pleased with the productivity scan rate with all film types that we have utilized. Clarity and quality are un-surpassed with the new DSW-700, B&W film negatives scanned at high resolution of 12 microns or better require less than two minutes per image. With other technology we have experienced times exceeding 20 minutes per scan.
