Project Description:
City of Sedona contracted Cooper Aerial Surveys Co. to provide photogrammetry and surveying services for a 50 square mile area. These services were tailored for planning purposes and enhancing the City’s GIS database. Alongside Shephard-Westnizer, Cooper Aerial Surveys Co. provided surveying services including, aerial panels, Airborne GPS set-up and post-processed, updated all City control points to NAD 83/88.
The project limits include portions of Oak Creek canyon, downtown Sedona, Sedona Airport, and the developed areas of the Red Rock country within the City limits. 2’ contours delineate the countryside side and planimetrics serve as a backbone to the City’s GIS database.
GIS database was updated with the vector data extracted from the 2007 Photogrammetry data. FGDC formatted metadata was provided to insure data integrity and quality control. Ortho-rectified imagery also provided in a user friendly tile definition format
