Established in 1966, Cooper Aerial Surveys Co. remains a client-focused mapping firm, providing our clients with the quality tailored products they expect. Our staff distinguishes us from other mapping suppliers by addressing customers’ needs and providing cost-effective solutions.

Since it was established, Cooper has proudly served clients worldwide, providing the highest quality product available with unmatched customer service. It is our dedication to customer satisfaction as well as an ongoing effort to stay at the forefront of technology that gives us the leading edge in this highly competitive industry.

Our digital photogrammetric services range from high altitude mineral exploration mapping to 1”= 20’ precise engineering design mapping.  This includes surveying, digital aerial mapping, LiDAR, softcopy, aero-triangulation, earthwork and volumetric calculations, cross sectioning and profiling, as well as digital terrain modeling (DTM).

Additionally, we are able to produce digital imagery from aerial photography, digital airborne sensors, UAVS, and satellites.  We have full service image processing and plotting capabilities and can perform rectification, translations, compression, calibration, and algorithms to provide the necessary product.

We pride ourselves on our strict quality control standards to ensure that any mapping project we undertake will meet or exceed any accuracy standard including, but not limited to, NMAS, ASPRS, and NSSDA.

Brian Baker

Brian is a guy raised in southern Michigan, battling with mosquitos. In his 20’s, as a member of the US coast guard, he rode the incredible 60 foot waves of the bering sea. His favorite hobby is riding his motocross bike on the edge where good health can meet severe hurt. Other hobbies are boating/fishing, and hiking mountains around the Tucson area. Now he makes topographic maps with the coolest people on the planet, and works part time repairing and detailing classic sports cars, along with some hard landscaping work. He's done a lot, but his biggest accomplishment was to quit smoking almost 2 years ago. Now he smells great!

Golf, bowling, hunting, fantasy football, relaxing with friends and his dogs Gus (Golden Retriever) and Madeleine (Airedale Terrier) keep the wife and him occupied during non work time.

Originally from California, growing up he split time between there and Michigan, but Dave has now lived in Arizona longer than anywhere in his lifetime. His lifelong passion is sports, but his current hobbies are camping, fishing, basically anything outdoors. Dave has raised six kids and has five grandchildren, two of which he and his wife Diane are raising. He may describe himself as a professional parent. Dave has been in the photogrammetry field since 2000, before that he was a journeyman painter for 20 years. His goals include seeing his granddaughters graduate high school and positioning himself for retirement, allowing more time for remodeling of his family home and his hobbies.

Kim Engesath

A true desert dweller, Kim was born and raised on a ranch east of The Valley. She attended Arizona State University (Go Devils!) for her Bachelors in Geography, Minor in Sustainability, and Certification in GIS. She is a fan of watching The Weather Channel, eating just about anything flavored with bacon, pickles, or chocolate. Her #1 bucket list adventure is to make a trip to Iceland to see Aurora Borealis and scuba dive the Silfra fissure. She looks forward to having a family of her own someday, but until then she enjoys country concerts, traveling, and gatherings such as BBQ/football Sunday’s with family and friends.

Adam dropped out of college to enlist in the Army in June of 2001. He received his dream assignment to Germany as a networking operator. He ended up mostly just exploring SW Asia, vis-à-vis Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Upon returning to the states, he decided to get serious and finally finish school, moving through several regions, eventually landing in AZ, graduating from ASU in December of 2015. He has 2 ambitious and talented children. He can often be found practicing acoustic versions of his favorite 80’s tunes, jogging, hiking, reading, preparing mushroom risotto, or just enjoying time with his favorite person(s)!
